About the role

Key responsibilities
- Design, build, test and ship features across the front end and back end of client applications
- Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code and participate in code review as both author and reviewer
- Participate live in client standups, sprint planning, refinement and retrospectives
- Collaborate directly with client product and engineering leadership on requirements and technical decisions
- Own features end to end, from technical design through deployment and monitoring
- Write and maintain automated tests for the code you ship
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and to progressive delivery practices
- Diagnose and resolve production issues in the areas you own
- Maintain technical documentation to a standard the client team can operate
- Deliver against knowledge transfer milestones so the client retains capability

- Native or equivalent Spanish
- English at CEFR B2 or above, assessed before offer
- Three to five years building production software as a full stack, backend or frontend developer
- Strong proficiency in at least one modern language and framework: TypeScript with React or Node, Python with Django or FastAPI, Java with Spring or equivalent
- Solid understanding of relational and non-relational databases and API design
- Experience with Git and modern branching workflows
- Familiarity with cloud platforms: AWS, Azure or GCP
- University study in computer science, software engineering or equivalent demonstrated experience
- Availability to work the US Central schedule and to attend Monterrey onsite occasionally
- Valid Mexican identification and right to work (CURP and RFC)

- Experience with infrastructure as code: Terraform
- Testing discipline: unit, integration and end to end
- Experience in a regulated environment or with SOC 2, PCI-DSS or HIPAA requirements
